On October 28, 2017, just before Halloween, Eoin took his mom to Camp Munhacke for the annual haunted woods. Local Boy Scout Troops set up camp on Friday evening and begin building their haunted houses. Some find scary things to do in the woods. Some set up dining tents and create haunted mazes to walk through. The Boy Scouts from Chelsea MI even plan and perform 2 different scary plays that usually garner many laughs especially from the adults. Each site even offers the no-scare option for those young scouts that aren’t quite ready for a full scare.
After doing the mile hike and visiting all of the haunts, guests are invited to the dining hall for crafts and snacks.
This is where people’s choice ballots are collected for best haunt. Each group also carved pumpkins for popular vote.
By 9pm all Cub Scouts and their families depart, leaving the Boy Scouts to make it through the rest of the night in their tents.
